The match between teams selected by the captain and secretary was played on Wednesday, and proved a keen contest. The latter team won by one match, play being four-ball matches. The results were as follows, secretary's team being mentioned first in each case1: O'Callaghan and Salmon 0 v. Walker and Bayley 1, Joll and Pratt 0 v. Sutton and Caplen 1, Glasson and Page 1 v. Wallace and Duffill 0, Etherington and Ferguson 1 v. Cuff and Taylor 0, Fyson and Bolton 1 v. Phillipson and Marshall 0.
