CANADIAN COMMISSIONER WELCOMES PREFERENCE.
HOPES FOR SELF-SUPPORTING EMPIRE. (Received May 24, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, May 22. Mr Kerley, Canadian High Commissioner, in a speech at Dudley, welcomed preference. He said that he hoped the Empire would become self-contained, and that .the dominions would claim a voice in foreign affairs.
