AUSTRALIAN CLERGYMAN'S

ALLEGATION

BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT

SYDNEY, May 21

Referring to the Rev. Mr Gray's denial of the allegation that the NewZealand Alliance received a cable inferring the manipulation of soldiers' votes, Mr Bruntnell states that the Rev. Mr -Dawson, general secretary of the New Zealand Alliance, received a cable and read it to Mr Bruntnell. The message declared that the soldiers' vote did^not represent the true feelings of the men, and that there had been some manipulation. 'Mr Dawson left hurriedly for America and may not have shown the cablegram to Mr Gray.
