Hawera Club, on the other hand, has kept going by bringing along juniors. Stratford played a hard game, but the. splendid combination of the Hawera players told against the visitors. The match was contested in the best of spirit, and a return game will probably be played at Stratford in a month's time. Sage (2), Morrissey (2), Gemmell (2), McGuin- [ r;ess and Simoson scored for Hawera, while Smart "registered the goal for Stratford. Mr S. J. Catran refereed.
