AWAKINO SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
On Tuesday and Wednesday the Awakino Collie Club's meeting was held under good conditions. Mr W. Grant was judge. The following were the,leading results:
Long Head and Yarding Competi-tiori-^J. R. Corrigan'sfTarn 1, J. R. Corfjgan's Gyp 2, E.Payhter's Tip 3, F; Wardell's Connie 4.« Thirty-five dogs competed. Mr Corrigan, having won this event for two successive seasons, becomes the owner of the. Challenge Cup. Two Dog Event—Keith Black, Awaliino (Ring and Glen) 1, J. R. Corrigan. (Marvel and Tarn) 2. J. R. Corrigan (Gyp and Bob) 3. There were 22 entries for this event. For the Challenge Cup for this event Mr Corrigan, by winning it last year, had a leg in, but this year lost to'Mr Black. Huntaway—P. Tocker's Lad 1, Keith Black's Glen 2. F. Bignell's Tip 3,- J. R. Corrigan's Bob 4. 'Thirty-five dogs competed. There were some magnificent performances put-up at these, trials, and the general average of the work reach|ed a very high standard.
