PLUNKET NURSE CAR.
The committee have circularised all dairy factory suppliers asking for assistance to the fund, and will be obliged if suppliers will leave donations with the factory manager or secretary.
Last week Mrs W. Caverhill received word that her son was wounded in the recent great push, and to-day has received word that her second son was also wounded. A conference of representatives of County Councils in Taranaki was held in the Hawera County Council Chamber this morning to discuss the question of wages and labor conditions generally. The proceedings were not open to the press.
