MILITARY SERVICE.

"TESTIMONY OF JESUS" SECT

APPEALS

BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS A3SOCIAT ON.

WELLINGTON, Aug. 3. The Military Service Board said that careful consideration had been given to the case of appeals of members of the sect known as the "Testimony of Jesus," and the conclusion had been come to that such appellants did not come under the provisions of section 18 of the Act. The appeals, therefore, would be dismissed, and if appellants agreed to sign the declaration provided the Board would recommend that they be called on to do non-combatant service. It was intimated that appellants would sign the declaration.
