WELLINGTON, July 12. The War Belief Association passed the following resolution: . That this meeting of the executive of the WaiRelief Association of Wellington resolves that in the interests of national efficiency it is imperatively necessary that there should be an immediate curtailment in the sale of alcoholic liquor, and to that end decides to add to the various petitions and resolutions already made to Parliament its strongest exhortation to confine the sale of liquor to the hours between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Mr John Hutcheson, in moving the motion, said he felt ashamed when passing through the streets at night, in company with, some French soldiers, at the number of soldiers the worse for liquor.
