Our Opunake sale was held on May 2i»t. There was a small yarding. Prices were somewhat easier, partly owing to the shipping outlook. Prices wore: Fat cows (heavy) £13 15s, light £9 10s to £11 10s, dairy cows £11. Manaia sale was held on May 22nd. There was a fair yarding, and prices were quite up to previous sales. Prices were: Cows (prime) £12 10s to £13, light £9 2s 6d to £10 14s, store cows £6 5s to £7 18s, w#in.er heifers £3 10s to £4 Bs, store pigs 17s 6d to £1. •-- Waverley sale was held on Friday. May 25th. There was a good yarding of cattle, but small entry of sheep. The yarding consisted mostly of young cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers, bidding being fairly keen, esTKxjialiy for w-eaners. Prices were as follows: Cows (light) £6 16s^to £8 17s 6d, 2-year-old steers £8 15s to £5) 10s, wcaner steers £3 10s to £4. heifers £2 15s to £3 10s, yearling bulls £5 »to £5 Ds, pigs (stores) *18s to_23s. On the same day we held a clearing sale of dairy cows on account of Ma- Edward Johnson, Waverley. Prices were good. Cows £10 to £13, backward cows £7 5s to £8 10s aged £6 5s to £7 10s.
