At« Inglewood on Monday we held a clearing sale of Mrs A. Schumacher's live and dead stock. Th.ere was & good attendance of buyers, and a successful sale was held. The dairy cows sold at from £7 to £13 10s, horses £5 to £20 10s. All the sundries sold at ruling rates. ] On Monday, at Okaiawa, after our usual sale, we held a clearing sale on account of Mr T. Ogier. The attendance was large, and everything sold at satisfactory prices. The dairy cows sold at from £10 15s to £13, averaging £11 17s 6d. mare £15 os. Sundries sold at ruling rates. At Eltham yards on Wednesday we had a good yarding of cattle and a small entry of sheep. Prices were the | same as late sales. Fat cows £11 15s to £13 3s, fresh conditioned cows *-*10 10s to £11 10s, forward cows £8 10s to £10, store cows £6 10s to £8 ss, light store cows £5 to £6 10s, bull £8 10s, small weaners 18s to £2 4s, weaner steers £4 11s, weaner heifer,s £2 16s t^ £3 3s. At Hawera yards on Thursday cattle and sheep came forward in good numbers. Competition was not as keen as late sales, and prices were lower all round. Small fat cows sold at from £11 10s to £12 10s, fresh conditioned cows £9 10s to £10 17s 6d, forward cows £8 8s to £9 ss, store cows £6 10s to £7 17s 6d, store steers £12 5s to £14 4s, 20-month steers £7 15s, in-calf heifers £9 14s, weaner heifers £2 16s to £4, heifers £2 12s to £3 15s, mixed weaners £2 to £2 18s, forward empty ewes 23s to 25s 6d, store lambs 14s 7d to 17s Id, store wethers 30s 9d. At Kaponga yards on Friday we had a good yarding of cattle, which sold well. Fat cows £12 10s to £14 lls, fresh conditioned £9 10s to £11, forward cows £8 10s to £9 9s, store cows £5 15s to £8 Bs, bulls £7 2s 6d to £10. lambs 20s.
