THRONE OF GREECE.
ABDICATION OF KING CONSTAN-
TINE PREDICTED
RUSSIAN NEWSPAPERS URGE AP-
PLICATION OF PRESSURE
(Received June 8 10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 7. Messages from Rome announce that uncensored Athens despatches assert the probability of the abdication of King Constantine. A Petrograd message states that the Russian press is urging pressure on Greece in consequence of her uncompromising attitude. These articles have caused something of a sensation, particularly one in the Bourse Gazette, which opines that King Constantine will take a rest in some place better suited to his health than Athens. Other papers denounce what they call the political felony of Greece toward the Allies. The Novoe Vremya considers the measures taken at Salonika insignificant and calls upon the Entente to take the necessary steps with regard to Athens and the Piraeus. .
