j At our Hawera Horse Bazaar .on Saturday, 12ih inst., we held our bimonthly horse sale, when more than the advertised number came forward. Young, sound, heavy and medium draughts were sought for; other classes were hard to quit. Heavy draughts £28 to £37 10s, medium £15 to £21, aged £10 to £17, light harness £6 to £16, hacks £5 to £13, Shetland ponies to £9 12s 6d, others 20s upwards. On Monday, at Okaiawa yards, there was a small yarding, and prices were the same as late sale.' Fat ,cgtx.s £10 to £il 18s, fresh conditioned cows £9 to £9 16s, forward cows £7 10s to .£.B 12s 6d, heifers £3 6s to £3 13s, bulls £6 17s 6d to £10 14s, store lambs 12s 6d. At Mangamingi, on the 15th i_.st. v , we held oar first sheep fair, when _tot quite the advertised number came forward, several of the entries having been withdrawn from sale. There was an extra, large attendance of buyers, &nd competition was keen. Only* one pen of lambs remained unsold. Good full-month ewes 22s 6d to 25s 3d, f.m. ewes 19s 4d to 21s 3d. other ewes 15s 3d to 19s, wethers 22s 6d to 23s 6d, best shorn lambs 12s to 13s lOd, others 10s 6d to 11s 9d, cull lambs 8s 6d to j 10s, Lincoln rams 2^gns to sgns, Romj ney rams Hgns to 2gns, calves (mixed 1 sexes) £1 17s 6d. j At Eltham yard®, on Wednesday, ■ there was a full yarding of cattle of all ' classes, and a few i.ensof sheep. Cattle | were in demand, with the exception of j bulk, which sold J;t lower rates. We i quote: Fat cows £10 to £11 ss, fresh- ■ conditioned cows £9 to £9 17s, forward cows_£B Is to £8 18s, store, cows £6 5s to £7 18s, smai'l store cows and heifers ; £3. 15s to £5, £-year-old steers £8 6s ■ to £9 6s 6d, weaner steers 33s to 38s, heifers 20s to 30s, bulls £4 10s to £8 ss, slieep 8s to 12s 3d, store pigs 22s 6d to 295, weaners 8s to 15s. i On Thursday, at our Hawera yards, there was an extra large yarding of flbeop, 8750 being penned. Lambs were in good demand, but breeding ewes sold j a shade lower, although a good clear- ; ance was made at the hammer, and | several lines »vere disposed of afterwards.
