NEW DEPARTURE—HONORARY With the bhjetf, of assisting' in recruiting Jor the New Zealand Expeditionary icrce, the Defence Department has decided to appoint honorary recruiting officers in each of the more populous centres. 'Gentlemen and covolunleor officers who can spare time for the ivork, are requested to communicate with the Defence offices at Hawera and New Plymouth for particulars. Names should be sent in by Saturday at the latest. The Defence Department requires -a chiropodist for Trentham camp for the period of the war. Particulars are available at the local Defence Office.
