Messrs Blair, Hunter and the VicePresident were appointed a committee to allocate the special prizes. Mr A. S. Tonks reported that the delegates of the Association and the Trotting Club had met to discuss the question of the Trotting Club arranging to use the Association's grounds. The two committees had conferred upon the ground with Mr Murray, surveyor, who had pointed out that it woxild'not be possible to get more than a four furlong track. To make a five furlong track it would be necessary to remove either the horse-boxes or the grandstand, which would mean a heavy expense. The delegates of the Trotting Club would report to th>ir club, and until the Association heard from the Trotting Club again no action csmld be taken for the present. :.••.-: .
