F>rst piece: Cast on 96 stitches: knit 22 rows plain garter stitch, knit 14' rows two plain, two purl; cast off 16 stitches either end; knit 60 rows plain knitting; cast 16 stitches either end? kmt 25 rows plain knitting; cast off Second piece: Cast on 96 stitches; kmt 20 rows, two plain, two purl; cast off, jo; ends, and stitch round face.
