PRICE OF BREAD.

A RISE IN WELLINGTON

BY TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION. . WELLINGTON, Dec. 18. Ine price of bread in Wellington is to be raised on Monday to 4*d per 2ib loaf. The President of the Master Bakers Association considers that the importation of Canadian wheat will not cause the price of bread to be lowered, as by the time it is milled the tlour will cost £16 per ton. Some flour is aiso coming from San Francisco, but it cannot be supplied to bakers cheaply enough to permit a reduction of the price of bread, which he says may go "P to sixpence per loaf before many weeks pass. •
