U"2 XSLEGUAF-H—PRESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, Dec. 10. Light rain is falling. Great interest is being takeai in the election, and a big poll is anticipated. All three of the parties are confident. PALMERSTON N., Dec. 10. A Palmerston message states that heavy rain and a fierce wind is making conditions most unpleasant for polling in Palmerston. There is intense interest in the contest and all four parties are confident. Taihape reports that the weather is dull and that the polling (for the Waima ri no seat) is not expected to be as heavy as at last election.
