NATIVE LAND COURT
The Native Land Court, -which opened in Haw era two days agb, before Judge Jack/ to deal with \the partitioning of unsettled ]and|i * jhas adjourned. It appears that '£h'ere are difficulties in regard to wording the Act, and the Court <vas unable,, ;fco make progress. Accordingly the Coiifi; adjourned, and it is understood ihki a committee,of influential natives will proceed to Wellington to place the matter before the Government, with & view to having the Act amended &o as to enable the difficulties to be overcome. The Court will sit in Hawera again on November 10.
