• f — MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the general committee of the Egmont A. and P. Association was held on Saturday afternoon. Present: Messrs B. C. Lysaght (president) R. J. Linn, Tonks (2), E. Washer F. Mills, A. Hunter, H. Williams, Campbell, A. T. Wills, and R. Mornssey. Matters with reference to the gymkhana to be held during the Winter bhow week were discussed. Messrs Nalder, A. S. Tonks and Good were appointed a sub-committee to arrange details in connection with the trotting events. 6 The_following stewards were appointfTT^r"^ 01186 events: Messrs Morrissey, Wills, Good and Mills; military events Messrs Campbell, Washer, Larcom Duckworth, Hamilton, and Willisnovelty events, Messrs Besley and Treweek; weight guessing, Messrs R. McLean, F. Livingston and R. Douglas; dog trials, Messrs J. Blair, T. Winks, and J. R. Corrigan. It was decided that the summer show be held a week after Wanganui, probably about November 25 and 26. Mr L. Walsdorf was appointed a new member. The secretary stated that the dairy herd competition had closed. Messrs Linn, Willis and the secretary were appointed to check all the returns as soon as the factory returns were in: It was announced that Messrs Bennett and Suttbn had presented a silver challenge cup for competition at the gymkhana. . It was decided to write and thank the firm for the trophy.
