TRIP TO MOUMAHAKI
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The trip organised by the Normanby Horticultural Society on the 29th insfcant promises to be a pronounced success, upwards «£ 50 having handed in -their names. .M. interested m agriculture or horticulture should not miss this opportunity of seeing the latest roots :and forage crops properly grown, whilst ■orchanlists will find a good deal to interest them. Ladies also will find plenty of amusement as the gardens at the farm are said to be in excellent trim this year. A special tram leaves Kormanby at 6.45 a.m., ahd intending patrons are requested to be on time. TThe society also intends to hold montnly meetings of farmers and others during the winter months, when lectures vill be delivered on forage plants, root will be well attended, so that SvTouraleraent may be given £ the Horticultural Society to go on extending ite usefulness to the district.
