EKETAHUNA, April 28. At 5 o'clock this morning Firth and "Sons' stables'were gutted by fire.' A -motor lorry,, one horse, and a large stock of feed were lost. The fire had a strong hold before it was discovered. *The son was sleeping on the premises, "but escaped by a window. The brigade prevented the further spread of the fire. The building was owned by T. Parsons. The insurance on the motor was £400 ; and on the stock and plant, £300 in the Norwich. The insurance on the building is not available.
