(From Our Own Correspondent.)

The lliverlea Athletic Club's eighth annual sports were held in Mrs Malone's paddock on Thursday, and proved by far the most successful gathering the club has ever had. The day proved an exceptionally fine one and the pretty dresses of the large number of ladies present lent a brilliant variety of color to the gathering. During the day the Kaponga Brass Band gave a programme of music, which' was highly appreciated by those present. The energetic secretary, Mr D.
