•V CABLE—PaESfI IBBOCIATION— roPJBIOHT.
SYDNEY; Feb. 6. A deputation from the mining community in the Newcastle district demanded that Mr Cann (Minister of Mines) arrange to import at least 25 doctors' from abroad in order to break down the strikes of the members of the British Medical Association. The depntationists considered it the duty of the Government to unravel the difficulty, and that the British Medical Association be asked to show cause for the increased demands on the* people. They represented that they did not want a further conference.
Mr Cann said he was afraid it was too big an undertaking for the Government to supply every township with a doctor. English doctors were also members of the Association. He urged a further conference. The Government would do whatever was possible to bring" about a meeting honorable to both parties. \
