~M.r Massey's reply to Mr Holman's istrike cable is now published. ; J3e informed Mr Hoi mail that, with the1 exception of coal miners and seamen,* nvork was beirigV carried on almost as Visual. Some thousand men had joined the Arbitration unions, and the Government could not agree that a position such as that of the unions should he referred to any tribunal other than the Arbitration Court, and then only -when" a breach of. the Act or of an agreement took place. He trusted that Mr Holman would do everything possible to remove the hindrances to commerce between New South Wales iiiid New Zealand.
