They disqualified the horse, Edward Daniel Hammond trainer and part-owner, and Rang! Thomson, jockey, for two years, for dishonest practices. [A cablegram published on Monday ?o a! ed™l ;hat Ma.ri°n, handicapped at Ust 101b, and ridden by Thomson/was a hot favorite for the Rosehill Hurdles of two and a-quarter miles, but finished second to Foothold, 9st, on Saturday Maro£n' s rider lost a lead bag weighing 221b during the race. The stewards enquired into the matter, and also into Marton s running during the race, but adjourned the enquiry.]
