MINERS' FEDERATION CONFERENCE.
(Received Oct. 9, 10.3 oa.m.) LONDON, Oct. 8. At the Miners' Federation Conference, representing 600,000, a resolution was carried asking for amendment of the Minimum AVage Act to obviate the tendency of the Act to reduce wages from standard to minimum rates. The Federation decided to levy a shilling for three years for the Daily Citizen newspaper, thus raising £90,000.
