AUROA.
(Fuom: Our Owj^Correspondent.) The concert which took place on Wednesday lastV;in aid of the newlyformed Tennis' and Bowling Clubs, was very larcery attended. The programme, which was an excellent one, was thoroughly enjoyed, most of the performers beinrr strangers to an Auroa audience. The' following contributed:— Pianoforte solo, Mrs Tozer; songs, Mrs Nicholls, Mrs Evans* Miss Ballantyne, Mrs Birchall, Messrs C. Robertson, S. Robertson (comic),? Coogan, Tozer (comic). Gorniley (comic), .and Snelling. Mr Clarke, who presided, on behalf of the Tennis and Bowling Clubs expressed his gratitude to allr who had assisted in providing such a good concert programme, especially .those who had come so great a distance to assist. He said he hoped it would not be long before the tennis courts would be ready to play on. They had a great many members. The dance which followed was well attended, the ladies, as usual, providing a good supper. Music was supplied by Mrs Birchall, Mrs Taylor and the Messrs Smith Bros.
