It is announced in another column that th*e annual meeting of members of the Hawera Chamber of Commerce will take place oil Monday evening next. It is to be hoped that members will show interest enough to attend for the election of officers of this institution, which is acknowledged to be of the. greatest utility to the community, and has accomplished much for the welfare of the town in the past, as it will no doubt do in the future with the hearty support of members. Smith and Easton will hold a salvage sale of furniture on Friday.
