ANGLO-AMERICAN PEACE.
LONDON, Oct. 7. A British committee is appealing for £60,000 to carry out a British programme celebrating the hundredth anniversary of Anglo-American peace. It includes the erection of a memorial at Westminster Abbey, the purchase of the ancestral home of Washington, and the foundation of a Chair of AngloAmerican History, to be held in succession by eminent British and American historians.
