EARTHQUAKE IN SOUTHERN EUROPE.
(Received' June 17. 10.30 a m ) BELGRADE. June 16. Several earthquake shocks were felt at Tirnova and subterranean rumblings' were heard throughout the day. There was great panic. Churches and other buildings were badly damaged, and many houses were' rendered uninhabitable. A number of deaths were caused by falling masonry. Most of the bakeries were destroyed, nnd bread had to be obtained -from neighboring villages-. '
