BANKRUPTCY.
Richard Joseph Phillips, .burefier, was examined in bankruptcy before Mr A .Coleman, Official Assignee, on AAred- | nesday morning. Mr AVeir appeared tor the bankrupt and Mr Gow for the creditors. There was no quorum present. The liabilities were:—Allen Bros Kapongn £15 7s od; J. Bain, Toko, i~ l^' AY- Gartwright, Stratford^ ci if-r'-ffi Fei'guson 3 Toko, £4 4s. : '. -m" (J, nmtns> los; Lamason and Melville. Stratford, £1 4s 6d; P C Price, Stratford, £4 18s 6d;' E* Rooms, Toko, £2 16s 6d; G. T. Walters, Mangatoki £1 19s 7d; Wilson, Drake and Co., Stratford, £1 17s lid Wickham and Mcßeth, Kaponga £3 5s 3d.; total, £53 11s 7d. No secured creditors and no real estate. Bankrupt attributed his position to the ill-health •of himself and his wife and to irregular employment. ' In answer to Mr Gow, bankrupt said he was prepared to make an offer to pay 10s in the £, payments to exmi: ov. er a Periocl of eighteen months. Ihe Assignee said if this were done he would advise the facilitating of his discharge. George Baker, butcher, was next examined. His statement showed liabilities amounting to £83 3* 7d including New Plymouth "Hospital Board £22; Dr Gault, £16; Hawera Hospital Board, £11; Dr Thomson, £5 Id*: and a number of smaller amounts.
