WHISKY AND SMALL-POX.

Sir Herbert Roberts, M.P., at the Abergele Police Court, referred to the death of Dr Wolstenholme, a wellknown Denbighshire • magistrate, and spoke of the doctor's many public services. The death of Dr Wolstenholme recalls that it was the doctor's boast that he did more than any other man to stamp out small-pox in North Wales. He was specially sent to the district during the epidemic .35 years ago. He said he gave each of his patients a bath, put them to bed, filled them with whisky, and never lost a life.
