THE WAIHI DISPUTE.

DIRECTORS ISSUE A CIRCULAR

BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. (Received Jtilv 29, 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 28. The directors of the Waihi Company, in a circular to shareholders detailing the circumstances of the strike, say they have decided not to make a new agreement with the Miners' Union until it is registered under the Arbitration Act. Hence it is impossible to say how long it will be before work will "be resumed. Though paying a dividend of two shillings in September, the directors point out that a further distribution cannot be made until the strike ends, and even then its subsequent effects are likely to affect dividends.
