; WELLINGTON, July 29. At the inquest on Ambrose McKay, tre tram conductor who died from injuries through falling off a combination car on Friday night, Mr Blair, counsel for the Tramway Union, said the conductors complained that the cars of thu bype from which the deceased fell were unsafe- He was prepared to bring plenty of evidence to that effect. The inquesi was adjourned for a week to enable the city solicitor to prepare a reply to Mr Blairs' statement. It was alleged there were numerous accidents to conductors working the combination cars.
