GREYMOUTH, June 26 A mass meeting, called by the Federation of Labor in the Opera House last night was largely attended. Speeches were delivered by Messrs Semple and Webb on the ■ Waihi and Keefton disputes. The .following resoliitior. was passed: "In connection with the Waihi strike it is the opinion of the meeting that the interpretation of the Conciliation and Arbitration Act by the Crown law officers is contrary to the intention of the legislature and altogether against the interests of the workers, in view of the, Bact that it brings about compulsory arbitration, and we are further of opinion that the men of Reefton are justified in resisting the introduction of t^e single-handed popper, and they have our utmost sympathy in the lock-out."
