The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date May 15: Tallow.—We quote present 'spot values for the following descriptions: Good mutton, 35s 6d per cwt.; good beef, 34s 3d per cwt.; mixed, 31s 9d per cwt. The market is dull. Wheat.—We have sold an Australian cargo at 39s 6d, c.i.f. There is very little demand, and the outlook is discouraging.
