A pleasant complimentary party was given to the ladies of the Thaia road by the bachelors on Tuesday, May 14, at Me residence of Messrs Baylis Brothers.' There were over 60 present, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening aurasement. The music for dancing was supplied by Mrs Rowland?, Messrs Cole De Castro, and Affleck. Messrs D O Sullivan and G. Baylis carried out the duties of M.C.'s. During the evening games and .songs were indulged in About midnight an excellent supper was handed round by the gentlemen. Mr JvnofFlock. on behalf of the ladies thanked the bachelors for the pleasant entertainment. The merry evening was brought to a close by tlie sin<n n «r of "Aulci Lang Svue" and "They Are Jolly Good Fellows.''
