At the Addington sale there were ' large entries for sheep and lambs, a good entry of store sheep, and an average yarding in other departments, with a good attendance. Store cattle, 15 to 18 months sorts made 35s to 40s; two-year-old steers, £4 12s to £4 15s; two-year-old heifers, £4 los; and dry cows, £1 10s to £4 ss. "Dairy /cows were represented by a good yarding, and for best classes there was free demand. Prices ranged from £4 to £11 17s 6d. Fat pigs were represented in moderate entry, all descriptions coming forward, and there was a good demand, biddings be"fhg free. Choppers realised 60s to 80s; one pig of extra good quality and weight making £5 14s. Heavy baconers, 62s 6d to 70s; and lighter sorts, 50s to 60s, equal to ojd per 1b; heavy porkers made 42s 6d to 48s; and lighter pigs, 35s to 40s; this price "being equivalent to ssd per Ib. Store pigs were in fair supply, and there was a good demand, operations of southern buyers materially assisting the market for larger sorts. Large sorts realised 30s to 37s 6d; extra making to 42s tid; smaller sorts, 18s to 28s 4d; and weaners, ]0s to 14s.
