BURNSIDE
At Burnside on Wednesday, 189 fat cattle were yarded, consisting chiefly of cows and heifers. Prime bullocks realised 19s per head more than last week, and cows and heifers sold at last week's prices. Best bullocks, £10 to £12; extra heavy, £12 10s to £13 17s 6d; medium to good,, £8 to £9 ss; light, £6 10s to £7 10s, best cows and heifers, £7 to £8 10s; extra heavy, £9 to £10 15s; medium, £0 to £6 10s; light, £3 10s to £4 10s. Fat sheep .3675 were penned, the bulk consisting chiefly of ewes, chiefly good to prime. Prime wethers met with good competition at prices Is per head in advance of late values. Best wethers, 19s to 21s; extra, 22s to 23s 6d; medium to good, 17s to 18s 6d; medium to good,' 17s to 18s 6d; light, 15s to 16s 6d: best ewes. 16s 6d to 17s Gd; extra heavy, 18s to 24s 6d; medium to good, 12s to 14s 6d; aged and inferior, 8s to lls. Fat lambs: Prices were barely on a level with last week's high rates." Prime, Jos 6d to 17s 6d : extra prime, 18s to 19s 9cl: medium, 13s to 15s ;small, lls fid to 12s 6d. Pigs: Porkers and baconers were not in such keen demand as was the case last week, and prices were 5s to 10s lower.
