NEW MILITARY REGULATIONS

MELBOURNE, May 17

The new military regulations provide that liquor ordered by medical authority or issued to troops in bad weather or on special occasions must be consumed in the presence of officers, and ho one refusing to consume it shall b*v subjected to ridicule. No liquor shall "be supplied to those under 21 whose parents have notified that they object. Ordinarily, in cases of severe weather or excessive fatigue, an extra supply of coffee, tea, or cocoa will be given instead of liquor. The nse of bad and immoral language, and ci"arette-sinoking will be prohibited. The regulations apply whenever men are wearing the uniform.
