(Received Nov. 21, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 20. Private letters received in France and Italy indicate that many of the wounded Italians were heavily mutilated prior to the much condemned slaughter of residents at the oasis by the. Italians.

Official reports from Tripoli state that petty Turkish attacks continue. Aeroplane observations confirm the view that the Arabs and Turks are demoralised, the former deserting in order to till their farms.

A sEarp attack on the Italian lines at Derna on Thursday and Friday was repulsed.
