Smith and Easton will hold their usual weekly sale of poultry, fruit, furniture, etc., on Saturday. At this sale the firm will also offer 82 fully-paid-up shares in the Normanby Dairy Factory. Owing to an epidemic of measles, it has been decided that the Hawera District High School, the Meremere, Manaia, Normanby and Fraser road schools shall be closed until after the Easter holidays. To-day the High School will be thoroughly fumigated. Entries in the various classes for the Egmont sheep dog trials next week have closed as follows: Class 1., 26 entries: Class 11., 25, Class 111., 21; Class IV., 9. Mr G. F. Moore, Kai Iwi, has donated a special prize in class 111. for maiden man and dog scoring most points. Order of running will be published in to-morrow's Star.
