DUNEDIN, August 17. Fat cattle: 217 yarded. This was a larger yarding than has been the case of late, and prices showed a drop from 15s to £1 per head on last week's rates. Extra heavy wethers to 245, best 18s 6d to 21s, best ewes to 18s 6d, good 14s to 16s, medium 11s 6d to 12s 6d. Fat lambs : There was only a small yarding of 356, which sold up to last weeks' prices. Beef 16s to 18s, medium 14s to 15s, inferior lls to 12s 6d. Pigs: 220 yarded, which sold at last week's rates.
