CHRISTCHURCH, August 17. Store sheep : Forward wethers 15s to 16s 7d, and low conditioned halfbreds ] ]2s lOd, 6 and 8-tooth ewes were passed . at 18s lOd, and aged sorts made 7s 9d , to 10s 9d, wether hoggets lls 9d to 12s lid, smaller 10s 3d to lls, mixed sexes , 12s 6d to 14s 7d, others 10s 7d to lls ■ 6d, good ewe hoggets 14s to 14s 6d, and others 12s 9d to 13s 6d. Fat sheep: Prices though not up to tho exceptional rates" of the previous week were well up to those previously ruling. There were only a few hundred fat hoggets penned, and these sold well, ordinary weights making 12s lOd to IS*.
Lambs : Prime wethers 19s 6d to 255, extra to 27s 3d, lighter 15s to 19s, prime lines 16s to 20s, others 12s 6d to 15s lld, prime merino wethers 15s 9d to 18s, lighter 110 7d, merino ewes lls 3d to 14s. Fat cattle: Steers £7 15s to £11, and extra to £17 os, heifers £7 to £9 10s, and extra to £10 15s, and cows £5 10s to £9 12s 6d, equal to 20s to 28s per 100 lbs, according to quality. Store cattle: Yearlings 18s, 2-year steers £3 15s, 2-year heifers £3 10s, 3-year heifers £4 10s, and dry cows 30s I and £4 ss. i Dairy cows: £3 10s to £9 los. Fat pigs : Choppers 50s to 90s, heavy baconers 47s to 535, and lighter 37s to 425, equal to 4d per lb ; large porkers 34s to 365, and smaller 25s to 31s, equal to 4Jd and 4Jd per lb, large stores 22s I to 28s, smaller 14s to 20s, and baconers os 6d to 12s.
