PARTY GOVERNMENT ON LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL.
LONDON, March 14. Mr Middleton, on behalf of the Moderates, proposed to hold a conference with the Progressives with the object of ridding tno London County Council of party Government. The Progressives have declined to hold the conference, and the Moderates have decided to select all v ton aldermen.
NAVAL CONSTRUCTION AND EMPLOYMENT.
LONDON, March 14. The naval estimates are expected to provide employment for two hundred thousand men for two years. Two thousand extra are engaged in broadening and lengthening a slip for the accommodation of Dreadnoughts, and another thousand will bo engaged after April 1.
