DEATH UNDER AN ANAESTHETIC.

CHRISTCHURCH, July 22

George Wolfe, 14 years of age, died at the hospital yesterday while undergoing an operation. He was admitted in the morning suffering from a growth in the throat and nose, and was operated on. Ethyl-chlorate was administered, and the operation performed, but the lad never rallied. Restorative measures were tried but without success.
