PRISONERS SENTENCED. I.PBESS ASSOCIATION.! AUCKLAND, July 21. Several prisoners were sentenced at the Supreme Court yesterday. Bertie Lyons, alias Harry- Davis, on three charges of forgery and uttering, one charge of theft from a dwelling, and one charge of- theft, was sentenced to three years on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent. Rangi Wiremu, a young Maori lad, convicted of uttering a forged cheque at Whangaron, was. [ sent to gaol for six months with hard labor. George Sullivan, who pleaded guilty to a charge of forgery and uttering at Helensville, was sent to gaol for two years with hard labor. Charles Geddes, an old man, for forgery aad uttering, was sentenced to three years'hard labor and declared an habitual criminal.
