COMPENSATION TO PUBLICANS
AUCKLAND, July 21. To condensate the licen-oes of the five city hotels recently olssed through the carrying of reduction vote, the Auckland Licensed Victuallers' Association recently started a subscription list amongst the trade, with the result that nearly £1000 ha,s ben n donated. The amount will be distributed at a gathering at the Chamber of Commerce next Tuesday.
