THE NEW PRESIDENT.
Mr Corrigan, upon taking the chair, thanked the members for the honor they had done him by electing him to fill the position of President of the branch. He recognised the importance of the office to which h« had been appointed, but felt confident that with the co-operation of the committee and members generally they would be able to do much good work. The retiring President, Mr Davidson, had worked exceedingly hard in the interests- of the branch, and he felt sure that the members regretted that Mr Davidson had refused to allow himself to be re-elect-ed. It was gratifying, however, to know that they would not be without his assistance, as he had been appointed a member of the committee. Mr Davidson: "I will keep a watchful eye on things 1"
