The sum of £10,445 was put through the totalisator for the day, making a total of £20,737 for the two days. The arrangements required by the club un-d-sr the new Gaming Act were carried out faithfully, and patrons soon droppeu into the new ideas. No bookmaker availed himself of the privilege of paying £20 for a license.
Stewards' Handicap — Rangipapa 1, Prize Bloom 2, Fisher Maid 3. Scratched: Royal Maid. Won comfortably. Hurdles — Taura 1, Dulcinea 2, Papatawa 3. All started. A splendid race; won by two lengths.
Ruahine Hack — King Post 1, Rangihaeta 2, Daisy Paul 3. Scratched: WaiP'linehu, Catseye. A good race. Won by a length.
Woodville Summer Handicap — Molbr.'o 1, Tangimoana 2, Sandix' 3. Sciatehed: King?s Lynn.
